Lion's Mane Liquid Culture
Lion's Mane (hericium erinaceus) liquid culture syringe and inoculation kit.
This mushroom is edible, and a culinary delight - but often grown for its medicinal benefits as it contains chemical compounds that delay or reduce alzheimers and dementia symptoms (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18844328).
One syringe should be enough to inoculate 2-3 jars or bags of grain spawn.( Use 2ml-5mL per container, depending on size). See instructions below for more information.
This species do not tolerate low temperature very well. Hence, they do not stay alive in the fridge long term. If the syringe is not being used within a couple of weeks. You can store it somewhere cool but not cold. Although we recommend you use it as soon as possible to ensure vigor of they mycelium.
Kit Content:
- Sterile 10ml/cc liquid culture syringe
- Medical grade sanitization wipes
- 18g needle for injection into spawn or substrate.
Instructions for Use:
1. In a sterile environment (flow hood, still-air box, etc.) inject approximately 2-5mL of liquid culture into a sterile spawn bag or jar, the more LC you use, the faster the colonization.
2. Store the grain spawn somewhere dark or without significant direct sunlight, at optimum temperature of 70-80 F ( 20 C-28 C) and wait approx. 7-10 days for the entire bag or jar to colonize with mycelium.
3. Once your grain spawn is fully colonized, you can now transfer to other grain jars to make more spawn, or inoculate bulk substrate of choice.
